Here's something that isn’t spoken about enough.
Most creators don't fail because their content isn't good enough.
Most creators don't quit because they hit a growth wall.
Most creators don't burn out because of the algorithm.
They quit because they're doing it alone.
Last week we ran an event with YouTube, called The Business of Being a Creator. Listening to the conversations in the room made one thing unmistakably clear: creators don’t just need better content strategies, they need better support strategies.

The isolation trap
Most creators build like this: shoot → edit → upload → repeat.
They're uploading content, looking at metrics, then going back to making more content. Online, they're winning. Their videos are working. Views are going up.
But ask them in private, and they'll tell you something different. They feel stuck. They're running on empty. They're staring at their screen at 2am wondering if any of this is actually sustainable.
The algorithm doesn't care that you're tired - not because it's cruel, but because it's a machine optimising for outcomes. Your state of mind isn't one of them. The metrics don't shift because you're struggling.
So creators push through alone. Until they can't.

What the creators who last the longest know
The creators we've seen build great, long-lasting careers all figured out one thing early: you can't do this alone.
Not because you're weak. Because you're human. And humans aren't built to sustain momentum in isolation.
The ones who last aren't tougher. They're connected.
They're in rooms with other creators. They're talking to people facing the same problems. They bring in collaborators, tools, and support - not because they can't do it alone, but because they know they shouldn't have to.
What happened in the room last week
At our event in collab with YouTube - The Business of Being a Creator - creators were asking big questions:
"How do I build revenue that’s consistent in the long term?"
"What systems and support do I need to keep growing?"
"Is this sustainable and how do I avoid burnout?"
Meaningful questions about building something that lasts

The breakthrough moment
Then something happened that only comes from being there in person.
A creator would talk to another creator and realize: "You're dealing with the same thing I am!"
That type of moment doesn't tend to happen passively on a livestream or watching a video tutorial. It happens when you're in the same room, in the same conversation, and something clicks.
You begin to develop context and see your problems from a new perspective. You begin to understand that value in connection, support and talking to those with different experiences.
What to do right now
So, if you've been building in isolation and wondering why it feels unsustainable - you're right to wonder. It was never meant to be a solo journey.
The creators who last aren't smarter. They're not more talented. They're not more disciplined.
They're connected.
