For the first time ever, YouTube Australia and Tropfest – the world’s largest short film festival – together with Changer, are uniting to champion the next generation of storytellers.

If you're not familiar with it, for more than 30 years Tropfest has been a launchpad for emerging filmmakers. It’s the stage for bold, original stories in front of huge audiences.

For this year’s Tropfest we’re running a series of special events bringing together top creators, filmmakers, and industry leaders in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne this October.

We’re bringing together top creators including the MacFarlane Brothers, Max Miller (Aunty Donna), and Mike’s Mic alongside Tropfest icons Rachel Griffiths, Justin Kurzel, and John Polson… sharing how they’ve built careers telling stories that resonate worldwide.

Expect inspiring conversations, meaningful connections, and connecting with the community shaping the future of film and online storytelling.

If you can’t make it in person, we’re also hosting an online Masterclass, where we go deeper into the strategies behind audience growth, storytelling craft, and opportunities in the Creator Economy.

If you want in, now's your time - spots are tight. Choose your city and we’ll see you there! [Australia only]

👉 RSVP Brisbane – 13 Oct 6pm start

👉 RSVP Sydney – 20 Oct 6pm start

👉 RSVP Melbourne  – 27 Oct 6pm start

We’ll also be holding an online Masterclass as a follow-up to the in-person event, covering storytelling, promotion, audience growth, short-form content, and filmmaking in the creator economy. Open to both IRL attendees and those who couldn’t make it.

Register for the online online Masterclass session here.

See you there,

Team Changer
